The “Global Stone Congress 2023 – GSC2023”, the main event dedicated to the Ornamental Stone sector in Portugal, will be held this year in Batalha.

Organized by ASSIMAGRA, University of Évora and “Association Cluster Portugal Mineral Resources” (ACPMR), GSC2023 will happen between the 18th and 23rd of June, featuring a large panel of distinguished guests, with a full and relevant program.

As member of the Honorary Committee, EDM – Empresa de Desenvolvimento Mineiro S.A., will be represented at this event, which will cover topics such as “Quarries Exploration”, “Processing and Transformation of Stones and Products”, “Environmental Recovery” and “Territory Management” – ​​a subject directly related to EDM’s mission -, “Climate Change impact on geomaterials”, “Geoheritage and Geoconservation”, among others.

In addition to the lectures, there will be presentation sessions for papers and posters, round tables to exchange innovative ideas about the ornamental industry, seminars and workshops in the areas of Architecture, Innovation and Sustainability.

A unique possibility to establish contacts, carry out brainstorming and networking in one of the most historic regions of the country, within an event that has more than 70 specialists in its scientific committee.
